Prominent AGW supporters Professor Barry Brooks and Professor James Hansen support nuclear power. Given this, why don’t the Greens? It is beyond doubt that renewable energy from wind and solar espoused by the Greens will never supply adequate power. Focus on wind and power will inevitably lead to power shortages and a reduced standard of living. Wind and solar power have been shown not to work anywhere in the world. Alternatively,  France has successfully relied on nuclear power for 40 years without any problems with waste storage and security. The new generation nuclear power plants will be even safer and energy efficient as Professor Barry Brooks explains:

If the Greens, who now hold the balance of power, are fair dinkum about replacing fossil fuels without destroying the economy nuclear power must be in the mix.
