I am an agw sceptic. I think it's all about curbing the "Asian wonder". By that I mean China and Japan. They are two of the biggest economies in the World and they pollute heaps as well. The US is dead scared of losing it's grip as a superpower if these 2 economies race ahead of it. I believe the IPCC is a mechanism of the US to try and force the price of Carbon through the roof in an effort to "tax" the biggest "Carbon Polluters".

The only thing is is it's all based on a modification of the global temperature measurements for the past 70-80 (i think) years. Some unscrupulous Scientists have lowered the figures for the first 30-50 years of the last 70-80y and raised the figures for the last 20-30 years. So therefore we have agw and therefore we have to limit CO2 output because the figures say so!! If we believe the Lies of man in this whole sorry way, we deserve to be ripped off down to our skin!!

This is also a way for Goldman Sachs to get rich off as well. See this URL for more about GS: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/12697/64796. It outlines the way that this giant investment bank has infiltrated and corrupted the most powerful roles in the US financial system. Catch ya soon.

I also read in the CEC media release re. the cost of "alternative" energy, and the cost (both dollar and enviromental) of the current schemes, and the electrical danger existing in solar panels on your roof. (they cannot be switched off in the case of a fire for instance)
I also love the idea of the lithiun battery,(light weight and high capacity) but the enviromental cost of production is horrific. Are we searching for this stuff in Australia?

I believe it would be good if we all read the book "the long Summer (Fagan). I have attached a link to the current review. Climate change is happening, but if anything, mankinds influence has been to delay the next ice age if anything,

It is brilliant that voices of reason and rationality have finally stepped forward regarding the climate change issue. You gents will always have my vote.

I can’t blame the ‘scientists’ who jump on the climate change bandwagon; as it has opened the way for billions (yes billions) of dollars of research grants. The real cost? Society continues to be run by fear based on a concept.

Wow I can't believe I haven't heard of this party before...but there you were on the white ballot paper...without even visiting your website you got my vote....just the name said enough for me. I have been speaking out against the human caused climate change insanity for a couple of years now. Glad to see someone standing up to the media hype and the smoke and mirrors of grant hungry climate scientists.

Skeptic Arguments and What the Science says may help you here

http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php

Problem is we gonna run out of fuel to feed oursleves.

http://www.climatechangeaustralia.org/Peak_Oil.html

What we know we don't know:
Oil reserve data is a state secret in most Middle East countries.

In the late 1980s, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided that oil production quotas for each of its member states would be set according to their oil reserves. Immediately every one of the Middle East countries put up their reserves - between 50% and 200% overnight - even though there were no new discoveries.

However some things are coming to light... Just like the Magic Pudding, all of these countries still have the same reserves 25 years later.

What about the oil companies?
Oil companies are saying one thing but their actions are telling another story.
Discovery... Exploration is no longer profitable. Over the past few years, oil companies have spent $8 billion on discovery and developing oil wells, and expect only to get an estimated return of $4 billion. Now no oil search is done without government (i.e. taxpayer) subsidies.
Infrastructure... Even with high prices and higher demands, oil companies are not investing in new refineries nor new tankers. Why not when oil prices are so high?
Annual production figures... To keep shareholders happy, oil companies annual reports do not just include petroleum figures but now include all forms of petroleum energy from bio fuels, gas and tar sands

So what so bad about lookin at alternative energy right now. We gonna need some way of getting the food from the farm to the store.

At last some truth and honesty rather than the chicken littles running around panicking that the sky is falling. Sure we are all for cleaner air, water etc. Maybe the earth is warming but no credible cause/effect relationship has been established and anything that has been put forward as proof has been shown to be dodgy and manipulated science.
Doesn't the ocean give up something like 100 times the supposed 'dangerous green house gases', that mans activity does?
C'mon guys. I thought the hippie drug Nimbin lifestyle ended a few decades ago. Lock yourselves away in your communes and trip out in your drug affected brains and leave the real debates to intelligent people who can focus on real issues.

John Howard agrees, that willingness of Abbott to confront Rudd on the ETS, led to Rudd 'losing his nerve', on Sky news now. "Glad a bad government has not got the second chance it does not deserve."

While the outcome is yet undecided, we can be sure the people have dealt a massive blow to the incumbent government, and arguably The Climate Sceptics played no small part.

Labor's loss of momentum can be traced to the difficulties posed by the Emissions Trading Scheme legislation. As a direct result, a pro-ETS coalition leader was ousted allowing a more electable leader, Tony Abbott, to take over. With the writing on the wall for the ETS, Kevin Rudd shelved the legislation, and green-leaning press and Labor voters defected from the Rudd-brand in droves. Then the various well-intentioned Labor hand-outs began to be exposed as ill-conceived and ill-executed green-looting schemes. Finally, the back-room boys in the Labor party lost their nerve and replaced the leader with an untried and brittle candidate.

The next few years will be interesting, but I hope to see an increasing focus on the peer-reviewed EVIDENCE of minimal climate sensitivity to CO2 and minimal real-world climate change effects, with the exposure of the exaggerated climate models and the people promoting them for their political and financial gain.
